These appear to be an exciting day in musical history. NRPS, Grateful Dead, and 12 years later a phenomenal blues player on a new community radio station. I surely hope a few stories will arouse from some NYC folks. I was lucky enough to watch Rainer and his National in 1983, so thought I would share the experience.

Das Combo being completely different than Dos Combos.

WTF Buzz ?

Deadsville, Man, Deadsville !

I am still sorting out the Grateful Dead bootleg.

Don't miss another great TDIH: The Altamont-eve show, 12/5/69. It's appropriately dark and brooding.

Me & My Uncle, Casey Jones, Black Peter, Mama Tried, It Hurts Me Too, Cumberland Blues, Cryptical Envelopement-> Drums-> The Other One-> Cryptical Envelopement-> Cosmic Charlie, Dancin' In The Streets, Dire Wolf, China Cat Sunflower-> I Know You Rider-> High Time, Uncle John's Band, The Main Ten-> It's All Over Now Baby Blue

Not too bad an audience recording if you can get through all the fuzzy parts.
